the honor system....
eye have been thinking of using the honor system to monitize my websites.... eye have been thinking of adding a tip button to my websites.... and.... asking people to tip me if they find value in my writing.... however.... eye just do not think that this is the right way to monetize a website.... eye just do not think that it is the right way to monitize a book....
the honor system is great in principle.... it sounds nice.... but.... eye just do not think that it works.... eye do not think that it is a fair system.... eye think bad people will take advantage of it.... and.... good people will have a tendency of being guilted into paying more than they should....
so.... back to the drawing board.... eye need to go back to the drawing board.... eye would like it.... if you went back to the drawing board to.... if you helped me find a solution.... here are MY goals.... these are the goals that eye would LIKE to acheive.... when eye monetize my websites.... you.... may have some different goals.... what are they.... if you were writing a book.... and publishing it online.... what would your goals be.... some books.... do NOT have to be accessible to all.... eye think that mine should be.... just because of the content of my books.... eye just think that a book that tells people how to heal.... should be accessible to everyone.... but.... maybe a book.... that is purely entertainment.... should not be accessible to all.... here are my goals

| a) | eye need to be compensated fairly for my work.... eye need to be compensated for the value eye create for others.... |
| b) | the people who help me.... also need to be compensated fairly for their contributions.... |
| c) | it needs to be accessible to all.... the people who need it the most.... are probably the same people who cannot afford it.... people who have no money.... somehow.... also need to have access to the book.... |
| d) | it would be nice.... if compensation was somehow tied to the value the book brings to others.... however.... if it saves someones life.... how do you put a value on saving someones life.... if it prevents someone from getting cancer.... how do you put a value on cancer prevention.... how do you even know if it prevented cancer.... if it cures someones cancer.... and.... it provides a much less painful cure for cancer.... how do you put a value on curing cancer.... how do you put a value on saving someone the pain of going through chemotherapy.... |
| e) | the scientists who did all of the research to discover what methods and tools help people fight disease.... should also be compensated for their efforts.... somehow.... yes.... they get paid to do the research.... but.... if they discover a cure for cancer.... and that cure is a supplement.... that anyone can manufacture and sell.... should we find a way to compensate them fairly for the value that they have brought to all of us.... |
right now.... those are my only goals.... but.... they seem to contradict each other.... making it accessible to all.... seems to contradict my goal of being fairly compensated....
eye would love to hear any ideas anyone has.... any ideas for how to monetize these websites.... and.... somehow.... come close.... to meeting all five of these stated goals.... if you have any ideas.... please.... send us a message....
